What you will find is people who use Linux will install Virtual Machines that allow install of XP to a virtual environment and then boot from that.
People who run XP with *nix systems report that the boot up is way faster than regular installs (like mine used to takean average of 5 minutes to boot) the online example I saw posted on YouTUBE showed XP boot up under Ubuntu running VirtualBOX boot up in about 30 seconds.
So its very possible for Linux users to be gamers... Its a question of what you run on your box.
