Hi all. I am at witts end with my HP Pavilion and would appreciate any help/advice/recommendations anyone has. After trying to repair the XP OS multiple times from the manufacturer's recovery CD to no avail, I finally decided to completely reformat and reinstall windows from the CD. After doing so, I ran chkdsk in command mode and it's showing no errors. However, windows still will not boot because the "biosinfo.inf file is missing or corrupt". I did a little research and supposedly this file is not included on the manufacturer's recovery CD and is only located on the Windows XP install CD, which I do not have because the OS was already installed when I bought the computer. Does anyone know where can I get this one single file and how I can transfer it onto my HD in DOS mode?
