I was happy to find your site online. Thank you for giving me
the opportunity to get a boot
disk for my WindowsXP Pro
edition. The idiot that built my pc for me didn't give me the
system disk for it. We haven't been in contact for a long time
and I had no way of getting it.
I just don't know now what to use as my Product ID #. I am trying to reformat my pc now
as it has become corrupted and has missing files. Then I couldn't find my msdos or bios
on here. I haven't reformatted
a pc since before Windows came out so I am not sure what I am doing.

this is my first time here and i must say am really impressed
but i have this problem

i bought a fujitsu laptop and came with pr installed with windows xp pro thay also gave me a recovery cd

i have los the recover cd and the windows on laptiop isd now corrupt however i do have alicencesd copy of windows xp but each time i boot from the cd to install it it tells me that it can no detect any hard drives

can one out there tell me how i canget my lapop up a gain

I booted all six disc's and it then says

"Windows XP Professional Setup

Welcome to Setup. This portion prepares Microsoft (R) Windows XP Professional to run on your computer

-To set up windows XP now press Enter (When I do It asks for the xp cdrom) Which I don't have)

- To repair xp installation using recovery console press R

- To quit setup without installing windows xp press F3

I don't have a Microsoft Xp Professional Cd-rom so what do I do now?

I bought a refurbished company computer and it does not have any windows running on it. I would like to download windows xp pro or vista (I'm thinking not). Is there free downloads that are genuine that I could maybe download to disk on my laptop and then put in the other laptop to install? please email me at cattailcovestore@yahoo.com cuz I don't know that I could find my way back to the right forum page for the answer. I don't think I'm posting this to the right place. But I don't know where the right place would be.
I have an error after trying to clean up a used laptop, I thought I was cleaning it out but apparently I deleted things I needed.

I am getting an error in dos that says:

I thought I could just downloand the Microsoft Office XP Small Business Version 2002 disc to fix the problem - I can't seem to figure out how to even do that.

This is addressed to AllBootDisks only ! ! Your instructions are aimed toward people with floppy disk drives. No such thing on my Dell - do you have further or different instructions for burning a CD ? ?

My OS is VIsta Home Premium - Friend upstairs blew his WindowsXP professional's brains out. Am trying to get him up & running again - neither of us have extra money - Social Security pays the rent - and not a heck of a lot more.

I have an EMachines pc, when I bought it it originally had vista preinstalled, it also came with no recovery cd. It crashed & I had my friend wipe out Vista & install windows xp pro (he said it was way better than vista). Now it is not working again!!! It is not recognizing any of the drivers. I need a fresh install of XP Pro, or Vista, I really don't care at this point, as long as I can get onto the internet.
Is there a CD install that will wipe out everything on my pc & install a fresh version of windows XP Pro or Vista for me? Any help would be greatly appreciated, I have been offline for over 2 weeks & am a college student ~~~ so it's kind of an emergency! Thank you in advance!!

I am building a HTPC & am desparate to lay my hands on an OEM copy of Win XP Media Center 2005 install disks. They're obsolete, and I just cannot get a legit copy. I've tried to usual illegit torrents and such, but there is always a glitch (like making it bootable) in running the upgrade on my XP Pro SP 3.

Any good samaritan out there?

i am about to swap out my harddrive and the new one has nothing on it i don't have a xp disc and my cd burner is out . is there any way to clone the harddrive that i am taking out i do have another laptop i can put theharddrive into that lap top doesnot have a burner would it be eaiser to download xp and install it on the new one i do have the coa on the bottom if so do you know where i can download it from
